At Hark, March 2017 marked the successful unveiling of three websites: Theater Engine, an entertainment-based web application for locating live stage performances and artists, and La Brea Bakery and Otis Spunkmeyer, two established baked goods companies held by ARYZTA Americas.
At Hark, we enjoy helping new businesses realize their vision. For Theater Engine, a finalist of LaunchVT, a local business pitch competition for start-ups, we created a brand identity, logo, and online strategy. Our biggest challenge was creating the theater web application itself. We built a fluid integrated maintenance database where users could search and locate their favorite artists and stage shows, performance venues, purchase tickets, and share community-generated after-show events and information.
“It’s always a pleasure to see a start-up like Theater Engine go from pitch to launch,” remarked Hark founder Jeffrey Harkness.
For La Brea Bakery, we worked with baked goods giant, ARYZTA Americas, to develop a site that recognizes the brand’s long history of bread making. Through the redesign, we sought to capture a new audience while also preserving the look that’s familiar to La Brea’s loyal customer base. With a seamless and modern look and feel, the site features the bakery’s rich historical timeline, detailed product categories, interactive recipe pages, and opportunities for social media engagement.
For Otis Spunkmeyer, ARYZTA wanted to give the site a modern reboot while keeping to the brand’s colorful, fun features. This revamp involved migrating the site to an entirely new content management system and generating new product pages.
“In March, the team and I were primed for the myriad of challenges that allowed us to flex our creative muscles. We were pleased to see La Brea Bakery and Otis Spunkmeyer’s online presence come to life,” Harkness said.
